This effort was started by a black family living in a predominantly white middle-class suburban neighborhood. We have written a letter as a family calling on our neighbors to support the grassroots movement that is forming here in our small town and across our state.  This website is an attempt to consolidate resources for our neighbors to engage with the Black Lives Matter movement, and to take action against racism. Suburban communities have historically remained silent or even actively resistant to movements for justice in the United States, leaving communities in urban centers to do most of the work.  We hope that this effort will bring our neighbors together to change hearts and minds, and to support the cause of ending racism in all American systems.
